Nigeria Printing Practitioners present ‘Situation Report on Fight Against COVID-19’ to Government

Awka, May 30, 2020 (MOI) Society of Printing Practitioners of Nigeria, Onitsha Chapter, has presented copies of `Situation Report on the Fight Against COVID-19’ in Anambra State to Government.
National President of the Association and former Anambra State Government Printer, Mr Nwora Egbuniwe, while presenting the report said the aim was to partner with the Government in the fight against COVID-19.
He said the report would assist government on grassroots and general public enlightenment about policies and programmes of Government on the fight.
Receiving the publication, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu described it as a unique contribution toward the fight against Coronavirus pandemic.
He thanked the body for reaching out in support of Government and urged it to cooperate to stop illegal practices such as book piracy by of its members.
Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr C Don Adinuba, who was at the presentation, described it as timely.
According to him this will help a lot in informing and enlightening the public on policies and programmes of Government, especially at this period of community tracing of Coronavirus affected persons.
The commissioner added that the publication would be distributed in public places, especially Churches, Offices, Markets and Motor Parks.
Chairman of Onitsha Chapter of the Association, Mr Okechukwu Akaneme, thanked government for its commitment on the fight against the spread of the pandemic in the state.
He pledged the association’s total support to Government in the fight. (MOI)
